Foundational Blood Work Panel

A Deeper Look at Your Health. A Better Understanding of Your Body.

Your body is constantly giving you clues about how it’s functioning. Sometimes those clues show up as fatigue, weight changes, brain fog, digestive concerns, inflammation, or simply not feeling like yourself.

Our Foundational Blood Work Panel goes beyond routine bloodwork to give us a more comprehensive look at how your body’s systems are working together.

Instead of looking at individual lab results in isolation, we take a functional approach, connecting your bloodwork with your symptoms, health history, and wellness goals.

Our goal is to help you understand what’s happening inside your body so you can make informed decisions about your health.

What Does the Foundational Panel Evaluate?

This panel explores several important areas of your health, including blood sugar regulation, metabolism, thyroid function, inflammation, cardiovascular health, nutrient levels, liver and kidney function, and overall blood health.

By looking at these systems together, we can identify patterns that may not be obvious when reviewing individual markers.

What’s Included in Our Foundational Blood Panel?

Our Foundational Blood Panel takes a comprehensive look at your health by evaluating your complete blood count (CBC) with differential, reticulocyte count, comprehensive metabolic panel (CMP), fasting insulin, C-peptide, hemoglobin A1c, and a detailed cholesterol and lipid panel. We also check inflammation and cardiovascular markers, including high-sensitivity C-reactive protein (hs-CRP), fibrinogen, homocysteine, and uric acid, along with iron, ferritin, total iron-binding capacity (TIBC), unsaturated iron-binding capacity (UIBC), magnesium, phosphorus, vitamin D, vitamin B12, folate, and red blood cell zinc. To better understand liver and tissue health, we include gamma-glutamyl transferase (GGT) and lactate dehydrogenase (LDH) in addition to the markers included in your metabolic panel. We also go beyond basic thyroid screening with a comprehensive thyroid profile, free T3, free T4, reverse T3, and thyroid antibodies (TPO and thyroglobulin antibodies).

Together, these tests help us better understand how your body’s systems are functioning and where additional support may be beneficial.

Who Is This Panel For?

Our Foundational Panel is a great option for clients who want a more complete understanding of their health, especially those experiencing:

  • Ongoing fatigue or low energy
  • Weight changes or difficulty managing weight
  • Brain fog or trouble concentrating
  • Thyroid concerns
  • Blood sugar or metabolic concerns
  • Inflammation or recurring discomfort
  • Nutrient deficiencies
  • Digestive concerns
  • A general feeling that something isn’t quite right

You don’t have to be experiencing symptoms to benefit from comprehensive testing. This panel can also be a great starting point for anyone wanting to be proactive about their long-term wellness.

How Is This Different From Routine Bloodwork?

Most routine bloodwork focuses on a smaller group of markers and whether your results fall within standard laboratory reference ranges.

Our Foundational Panel looks at a broader collection of markers, allowing us to explore how different systems may be influencing one another.

We don’t just look at whether a number is marked high or low. We also consider your symptoms, health history, lifestyle, and patterns across your results.

Because understanding your health means looking at the whole picture, not just individual numbers.

What Happens After My Bloodwork?

Getting your results is just the beginning!

During your Lab Review, your practitioner will walk through your results, explain what they mean, and discuss areas that may need additional attention.

From there, we’ll develop a personalized wellness plan that may include nutrition changes, lifestyle adjustments, targeted supplements, additional testing, or other supportive services.

Follow-up testing may also be recommended to monitor your progress and help guide future adjustments.

How Do I Get Started?

Once you schedule your appointment, our team will arrange your lab order and provide instructions for completing your blood draw at a convenient location near you, typically about two weeks before your scheduled review.

Your practitioner will then review your results with you and help you understand your next steps.

Not sure whether the Foundational Panel is right for you? Give our team a call or use our website chat. We’re happy to help you choose the best starting point for your wellness goals.
