GI-MAP Test (Gut Health Assessment)

GI-MAP:

The GI-MAP is an advanced stool test that gives a detailed look at what’s happening in your gut. It uses highly accurate DNA technology to identify and measure bacteria, parasites, yeast, and viruses in your digestive system.

This test helps uncover harmful microbes that may be causing symptoms, while also showing how balanced your gut microbiome is overall. By understanding what’s present—and in what amounts—we can better identify root causes of digestive issues and support your path to better gut health.

Your GI-MAP Results Review Appointment

During your GI-MAP Results Review appointment, we’ll take a deep dive into your gut health results and create a personalized, whole-body plan to support your health and wellness goals. This visit is designed to help you clearly understand what’s happening in your digestive system and feel confident in your next steps.

Please plan to join this appointment from a computer, as we’ll be reviewing your results together on screen. Ongoing follow-up check-in appointments are often recommended to provide continued support, guidance, and accountability as you begin your care with us.

After submitting your test, please allow at least three weeks before scheduling your results review appointment to ensure we have adequate time to receive and carefully analyze your report.

Your Next Steps

Booking Your GI-MAP Test & Appointment
Please book your appointment about four weeks out. Once your appointment has been accepted by Health Inc., you’ll receive a confirmation email with your intake forms. These forms must be completed within 48 hours and take about 30 minutes to finish. They provide the information we need to order your GI-MAP test.

After we receive your completed paperwork, we’ll email you instructions for completing your at-home stool test. Test kits and instructions are sent Monday through Thursday. Any appointments made Friday–Sunday will be processed the following Monday.

Once you complete and submit your test, please allow approximately four weeks for results to be processed.

For your results review, please plan to join from a computer or in person so we can walk through your report together. During this appointment, you’ll review your GI-MAP findings, receive a personalized action plan for gut healing, and have time to ask any questions along the way.

After Your GI-MAP Results Review
We recommend checking in with your practitioner about 4–6 weeks after your results review. This allows us to see how your personalized gut healing plan is working and make any adjustments if needed.

During this follow-up, your provider may recommend additional support or targeted testing based on your progress, ensuring you continue moving toward optimal gut health.
