After going to my medical doctor because I was experiencing excruciating pain radiating from my lower back to my toes, I was diagnosed with two herniated discs and a cyst on my spine.  I was put on mind-numbing medication that only too the edge off the pain.  I also used a portable TENS unit almost constantly and had physical therapy that just wasn’t helping.  I had a series of three epidurals, two weeks apart.  Each of these only helped slightly and I was faced with the reality that I couldn’t have another for at least six months.

I spoke at length with my orthopedic surgeon about my condition.  I do have to respect him for not taking advantage of my debilitating condition to sway me into having surgery.  Rather, he honestly told me that the operation came with no guarantees and might not help my situation at all.  He actually gave me more ‘cons’ than ‘pros’ for having surgery.

Not knowing what else to do, I began chiropractic treatment as a ‘last resort’ before attempting to go on disability.  After only the first week of treatment, I was able to reduce the amount of pain medication and after the second week of treatment, I was able to completely stop taking pain pills and returned the TENS unit to the vendor!

I only wish that I had known to seek chiropractic treatment sooner and it is a part of my mission to tell as many people as possible about its value.  I consider my recovery nothing short of miraculous and strongly encourage others to seek the same benefits.
